HIGHFIELD INFANTS SCHOOL GONE !!

Well i see after nearly a century i noticed they have bulldozed my very first school Highfield Infants School, the memories that school has for me will forever live in my heart and thoughts for ever! It was only a couple of years back i called in to have a look inside and was surprised to a find a few ladies making poppies for the up-coming November event, it just saddens me that's all ,i bet in a few more month's time there will be a few private house's there.

It's no wonder PeterP, with this shower trying to run a country they couldn't run a p*ss up in a brewery . Where is Our Ladies school peter? my wife has just asked where are all the children going to go too! G.B.

GB Our Ladies RC primary school is on Downall Ggreen Road on your right hand side just over the motorway bridge if you come from Bryn

Is the building likely to go, or is it sufficiently attractive to be repurposed?

As a Yule, I do recall the school, but not seen since 1950's, so do not recall detail of the building at all.

Hi PeterP, Thanks now i know where it is , as far as i am concerned having just passed it recently there look's nothing wrong with the structure as for the inside i don't know, but i would hazard a guess it does not need closing . along with the other . It probably someone going to to get a handsome " Backhander" for closing it and passing the demo onto another of their crony mate's to pull it down . G.B.
